Evendine Residents Enjoy An Afternoon Of Baking

Residents at Evendine House recently whisked up an impressive batch of delicious cupcakes for all to enjoy as a sweet afternoon treat.

Many of our residents enjoy baking and find it a very rewarding and relaxing activity.

Studies show that baking is a highly beneficial activity for both the elderly and those living with dementia. Baking involves a variety of practical skills such as preparation, mixing and measuring, weighing ingredients, listening to instructions and practising concentration.

At Evendine House we regularly encourage our residents to participate in a range of creative, enjoyable and stimulating activities, ranging from board games, arts and crafts and music therapy, to exercise, live entertainment and baking.
