Alzheimers Society Cupcake Day

This month, residents at  Evendine House have been busy making and decorating cupcakes in aid of Alzheimers Society Cupcake Day.

Alzheimers Society Cupcake Day is a great opportunity for residents to have some fun whilst supporting a cause in which we hold close to our hearts. Cupcake day, held on the 15th June, is a day dedicated to fighting dementia whilst supporting the work of the UK’s leading dementia charity.

Our residents whisked up a batch of delicious cupcakes in which they then beautifully decorated with a variety of toppings, colours, flavours, sprinkles and sweet treats.

Baking is one of the favoured activities here at Evendine House. Many of our residents find baking an enjoyable, rewarding and relaxing activity, that encourages creativity, the use of fine motor skills, concentration and independence.

The cupcakes were thoroughly enjoyed by residents and staff as a lovely afternoon treat.
