A visit from The Downs Malvern school

At Evendine House we believe in delivering only the highest quality of care for those that require support with individual needs and requirements. We provide a range of stimulating activities for our residents in a happy ‘home from home’ environment.

Every two weeks the children from The Downs Malvern school come to spend some quality time with our residents and take part in a range of activities. The children especially love to dance and with the help of their teachers enjoy reading stories to the residents. Below is a video of a recent visit so you can see for yourselves the fun they have!

Stimulating and creative activities such as arts and crafts and entertainment are enjoyed by many of our residents. These activities allow them to stay active, whilst enhancing social and emotional wellbeing.

We currently live in a society where interaction between the elderly and the young is very limited. However, here at Evendine, we believe the interaction between both generations can be very beneficial. The school children can learn from our residents and practise with communication and social skills. The residents can also benefit from spending time with younger children, expanding skills they may already have and allowing them the opportunity to support them with any needs they may have.

Evendine residents and our team really look forward to the vibrancy, positivity and excitement that the school children bring with them during their visit. We will forever encourage visitors here at Evendine House and are incredibly lucky to have friends and family so willing to join us whilst supporting our residents and having fun whilst doing so.
